Dr.Mutasim Nimir

Born in 1945 in Halfayat El Mulok, Mutasim Bashir Nimir is known as one of the Sudanese Environmental pioneers who dedicated a lifetime to environmental conservation. Dr. Nimir received his B.Sc. in Biology from the University of Khartoum in 1968. He completed his M.Sc. in Range Management at Montana State University in 1974 and received his Ph.D. in Wildlife Management from Colorado State University in 1983.

Our Vision

MNCEC was founded as a memorial to the late Dr. Mutasim Nimir; one of the Sudanese environmental pioneers.. The center was officially registered in July 2018. MNCEC aims to contribute to efforts in combating environmental issues that face Sudan. This is to be done using practical, innovative, and effective methods.
